The dijin was so easy and fun, I killed it with a npc team and 4 Ice Golems. Easy as Pie.

we had a party of 4 nukers, and my monk. mhenlo, and the 2 war henches. It took maybe 2 minutes but we took him down w/o any deaths or much trouble. In the end I was just spamming word and orison on the wars for each 400pt hit from the djinn. I think what really saved us was how fast Mhenlo was able to spam his heals.. as he was my backup monk, he casts damn fast lol.

I got a screenshot of Consuming Flames and it reads as follows:

Melee Attack. Remove one enchantment from target touched foe. Do 400 fire damage split evenly among target foe and adjacent foes, gain life equal to the damage you did to one target.

So, don't cast enchantments.

djiin only uses 2 skills to what ive seen, and tahts floursish and that flame move which does 400 damage divided to surrounding enemies, and heals from waht it does to 1 enemy, so, if your a on your own u get 400 damage, and he heals for 400.

However, i killed it, by running to a large pack of dwarfs, :P so that it could only heal like 80 each time it used, and we could deal more than 80 before it used its move again, so is bye bye

Fun quest tho

Just completed the final assualt mission, the 3 djinns killed us once, but then we just surrounded them one by one - and totally obliterated them. I think the key is to get everyone to surround them so that the consuming flames is divided amongst the entire party (if i'm reading the skill desc. correctly).

I fought him with about 60 DP and the hench who probibly had 60 DP 2 but i found that if u lure him 2 a big group of NPC's u can nuke him while he's attacking those NPC's it worked pretty well with those ice golems

I was in a group that had (me) a Mes/Nec and a Elem/Mes both spamming diversion on it and Consuming Flames still got through. I'm guessing that it was multiple copies of Consuming Flames on its skill bar.

Best way to do it?

GROUP! Ball Formation! Have your entire party hug em.

I figured out why henchies do so well, btw. Stefen and Thom almost always arrive at a target at the same exact time, plus the npc healers are often rushing in point blank to heal. In a Player group, you'll often have one warrior ahead of the other. Pow 400 damage to warrior one. Pow 200 damage to both warrior one dies. Pow 400 damage to warrior two, warrior two dies. Djin hunts down the rest one by one.

My guild was stuck with the Flame Djinns for a while with 60 dp, until I started goofing off and trying to blow up the Djinns with barrels. I did'nt read too many of the other replies do to chronic laziness, but if somebody already specified this sorry... anyway, the barrels actually knock down the djinns. Makes it much easier to kill them, since they can't use their cursed 200-400 consuming flames. Go out there and kick some Flame Djinn ass!

So basically all you need to do is get the whole group and surround him so that the attack does virtually nothing?

Yeah, that might be why my army of minions took him out so easily.

400 dmg spread among 20+ targets. =D

i dont quite see the logic in this, but it may be that when u close the door, after u lead the djinn out into the greener area, the djinns power decreases. i fought him with henchies first time around and started to get raped, even with me as a monk, so i ran out and closed the door, hoping to seal him inside so he couldnt chase after us, but i was too late and he was still with us. then a pack of dwarves and those new slave creatures pounded on him and somehow killed him with me and my henchies in like 2 secs. so i suggest bring him out into the green area and have the guys out there help u kill it quick.

I believe there is 2 different quests involving the Djinn.

The first one you receive as a slave activated by the Summit Slaves quest you get from Trask the slave trader. It's called Fire in the Hole, and requires you to kill only 1 Djinn.

I've only completed this one so far, and it was pretty easy with 8 henchies (most of which were crowding him). Like someone else mentioned earlier in this thread, it seemed distracted in the beginning and didn't start attacking us until it got down to 3/4 health.

The second one probably is Final Assault, which I assume is the last Sorrow's Furnace quest. Most people seem to be having problems with this one, which has 3 Djinns.

NOTE: SPOILER - this is for those who are pissed off at final assault.

Just beat Final Assault:
Our group had a very easy solution. Everyone grab a barrel, one person lure the djinn (one mind you, anything more becomes ridiculous, even if 2 are grouped together, it is possible to lure only 1). Lay down a barrel as it is running towards you. Boom, knocked down. Surround it
Constantly lay down barrels. We had 3 monks ( i was one, 2 npcs - mhenlo and lina are gods), and the djinn got off 1 consuming flame (did negligible dmg) b4 we annihalated it (constant knockdown rules). The NPC with the barrels always stays close, so one person focus on barrel spamming.
Another tip (VERY important) - if you have ANY runes on your gear that detract from your life, take them off. The armor is not important (as the djinn dmg seems to ignore armor O.o and i think the division of dmg ignores armor as well). We were able to beat it only after we'd taken off the armor. A couple people had 1 or 2 sups/majors and were killed in one hit despite all of us hugging it - this is very dangerous. So, everyone strip! (You'll have 220+ hp, even better if u have sup vigor).
Hope this helps.

On a side note, take out the furnace guardians first. If you kill them while the patrol is just ahead of u, by the time the priests come back around, they wont revive the guardians The ravagers are gay though =.=
